Afternoon Tea at Woburn Abbey

Woburn Abbey, Woburn Park, MK17 9WA

from £17.50 pp

The English social tradition of taking Afternoon Tea is said to have originated in the late 1830s by Duchess Anna Maria, wife of the 7th Duke of Bedford, who entertained her friends in the Blue Drawing Room at Woburn Abbey. She felt it was such a long time between luncheon and dinner and an afternoon tea helped to bridge the gap.
