Afternoon Tea Online recently popped along to The Wallace Restaurant, one of our latest fabulous new venues to feature on our website. Situated just behind Selfridges and set amidst the national art treasures of The Wallace Collection, The Wallace Restaurant is an oasis of tranquillity in which to enjoy afternoon tea.

We were greeted by the lovely Lorraine who guided us to our table, a fabulous spot overlooking the whole of the restaurant. The Wallace Restaurant really is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of nearby Oxford Street, with its light filled glass atrium roof and soaring trees and greenery.

Afternoon Tea itself is an absolute delight and superb value for the price (£17.50). We loved the cucumber and wasabi butter sandwiches - the kick from the wasabi was a delight to the taste buds. The cakes were pretty fabulous too especially the chocolate and raspberry hearts - we're still dreaming of them now!

Tea was served in the most wonderful oriental style pewter teapots and the selection was superb. The Wallace Restaurant really is a hidden gem and we are delighted to have discovered it!
