Sitting just north of Liverpool and Manchester in the north west of England, Lancashire is a popular county for visitors with the vibrant and colourful town of Blackpool at its heart. Blackpool isn’t the only attraction for Lancaster however; the county is home to countless great towns and coastal resorts. The ancient city of Lancaster may be small in size but it is home to a magnificent castle, old stone walls and cobbled streets whilst Blackburn plays host to the brand new Cathedral Quarter Development. Lancashire’s sweeping green countryside is beautiful and includes the 90 square mile area of the West Pennine Moors whilst the county’s coastline is simply glorious and wonderfully diverse. Blackpool is world famous for its bright lights, Pleasure Beach Theme Park and its soaring tower whilst just a short drive along the coast the towns of Lytham St Anne’s and Fylde are a world away from all the neon with their tranquil beaches and pretty parks.
