Yorkshire is a British county that has it all. Vibrant and historic cities, stunning landscapes and countryside and some pretty fabulous destinations for afternoon tea! The historic city of York is a prime afternoon tea destination in Yorkshire and is visited by tourists in their droves. Soaring up from the cobbled streets of the city is the very majestic York Minster, the largest Gotic cathedral in Northern Europe, whilst York Castle (otherwise known as Clifford’s Tower) overlooks the whole of the city . York is also home to visitor attractions such as the National Railway Museum and the York Art Gallery where prominent British artists such as L.S. Lowry, Turner and Hockney are displayed. With its pretty cobbled streets filled with shops and boutiques and its fabulous historic architecture, its no surprise that York is so well-loved.
