Travel through nearly 1000 years of history as you walk through the majestic surroundings of Windsor Castle. Built by William the Conquer in 1070, Windsor is the world’s oldest and largest inhabited Castle. The castle is still the main residence of the current royal family, with The Queens standard flying high about the Round Tower when she is “home”. Your extensive tour of the castle and grounds will take in the breath-taking St George’s chapel, the state apartments, the drawing gallery and the colossal St Georges Hall, where The Queen hosts her guests for dinner on a single long 160 seater table. Once your tour is complete, you can sample some delicacies of your own with a traditional afternoon tea at the four star Castle Hotel. Here you will be treated to a beautiful selection of hand cut sandwiches, freshly prepared scones with jam and clotted cream, and stunning individually cut cakes all topped off of course, with hot pot of tea!
